Wednesday, December 2, 2020  "Faultless To Stand Before The Throne"
Message summary: Today, whatever type of chaos you may be experiencing or witnessing, make this your declaration, Jesus will present me before His Father's glorious presence faultless and with great joy! “Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds because of your evil actions. But now He has reconciled you by His physical body through His death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before Him” (Colossians 1:21,22). "Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless in the presence of His glory with great joy" (Jude 24).
Yesterday we wrote about a visit to the Loveless Cafe near Nashville, TN which prompted a consideration of words with the suffix "less". Most words ending with "less" are negative such as thankless, joyless, hopeless, heartless, etc. But the great hymn "The Solid Rock" ends with a glorious positive use of the suffix "less". When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh may I then in Him be found. Dressed in His righteousness alone, Faultless to stand before the throne.  Faultless is not a word we hear or use much. Growing up as child in the sixties my mom, who will turn 100 in heaven this month, was a stay at home housewife, very typical for that day and age.
Among a homemaker's duties was the laundry and a common laundry item was starch, which I don't think Brooksyne ever uses since most items these days don't require ironing. And there's still a brand of starch called "Faultless"!You’ve probably heard the statement, "God doesn’t make junk" which is true. But due to our sin nature we are all faultful (although this word is not in my computer's spell-checker it is indeed a word in the Merriam-Webster dictionary meaning "full of faults"). We are all full of faults and then so many junk their lives in sinful,
reckless living. Then there are those who are treated like junk by those who should value them most. A regular encounter in ministry is dealing with people who feel their lives are nothing more than a pile of junk. But God has a redemption plan for each one of us. He sees us as His own unique creation, fearfully and wonderfully made.
Today’s first Scripture text contains a powerful before and after.  Before redemption we were
alienated and hostile in our minds because of our evil actions. We might read this description and compare ourselves with those in far worse condition rather than using God’s standard. But we must use God’s standard of measurement. Prior to redemption we were all alienated and hostile in our minds because of our evil actions. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).After redemption we are reconciled to God through His death and resurrection, to present us holy, faultless, and blameless before Him. God restores junk-filled lives, even those who may seem hopeless. That’s the heart of the gospel! Now we have been made new in the attitude of our minds; and have put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.  The second daily text also uses the word "faultless". Of course this varies by translation, some use "blameless" and the graphic to the right states
"without fault". It's a part of Jude's marvelous benediction that I often used when I served as a pastor in concluding a service.Based on Christ's finished work and our redemption we will be presented before God's glorious presence without fault and with great joy. Monday we shared a line from a sermon we heard that states, "Focus on the coming celebration, not the current chaos". Today whatever type of chaos you may be experiencing or witnessing make this your declaration: Jesus will present me before His Father's glorious presence faultless and
with great joy!

But for grace we would not receive the “PAID IN FULL” standing that comes through the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who gave His all to put us in right standing with a holy God and the promise of being presented faultless. There
