![]() We moseyed through the countryside yesterday afternoon following our church service, passing through the Hunsecker's Mill Covered Bridge. We have had snow on the ground for over three weeks now, the longest since 1995. But warmer temps have arrived and it will melt off soon.

"The
Peril Of
Deception" Message summary: Today we consider a grave word of caution from our Lord that believers all through the church age should solemnly heed: "Watch out that no one deceives you".

"Jesus
said to them:
'Watch out
that no one
deceives you'"
(Mark 13:5).
"The coming of
the lawless
one will be in
accordance
with how Satan
works. He will
use all sorts
of displays of
power through
signs and
wonders that
serve the lie,
and all the
ways that
wickedness
deceives those
who are
perishing.
They perish
because they
refused to
love the truth
and so be
saved. For
this reason
God sends them
a powerful
delusion so
that they will
believe the
lie" (2
Thessalonians
2:9-11).
WHP
580, our local
talk radio
station, has
an interesting
spot that runs
in the morning
declaring that
their
announcers are
"100% real
human",
apparently due
to the
proliferation
of Artificial
Intelligence
(AI) in
broadcasting.
Indeed we see
AI everywhere
and it can be
so deceiving. Brooksyne was listening to some music on Spotify on Saturday morning and came across a new group she really enjoyed and shared it with me. It was on a channel called "Grace Unveiled Music" and featured what they called "Nostalgic Worship". I listened and it was indeed very pleasant and on the basis of what we both heard as we listened to several selections it was theologically correct.
But
I explored
further and am
99% certain
it's just
Artificial
Intelligence,
not created by
real people
but a machine.
If you care to
examine and
make your own
determination
I have a link
below.
Phone
calls, emails,
texts, and
virtually all
media contain
pitches that
are intended
to deceive.
Scroll through
the web and
there are
plenty of
deceptions. It
seems like
rarely a day
goes by that
we are not
lied to
(attempting to
deceive us) in
a multitude of
ways. Stephen and Brooksyne Weber
Today's Suggested Music and Supplemental Resources
"Vintage Worship Songs" Watch on YouTube This is AI music; it's all a machine! There are no real singers. The music and lyrics are created by AI.
Brooksyne's
note: I
enjoy
listening to
Spotify since
it goes from
one song to
another, often
introducing me
to new artists
or new songs
that inspire
me in my walk
with the Lord.
Saturday, in
the early
morning hours,
a group I
never heard
before got my
attention. I
loved the
sound, the
style and the
wonderful
lyrics. I went
from listening
to looking up
their name,
"Grace
Unveiled
Music", and
their list of
songs. I
played several
and found
their style
and sound so
unique and
somewhat
vintage
compared to
today's music
so I told
Stephen about
it.
We
both went to
our computers
to learn more
about this
group. The
screen shots
of the group
singing were
all in black
and white and
they looked to
be a young
group out of
the early 60's
since the
instruments,
clothing and
hairstyles
resembled that
period. All we
could find
were screen
shots, no live
videos though
we looked for
quite a while.
Stephen was on
to the fact
that it was AI
before I
caught on.
Though I
wanted to
disprove his
theory I never
could find
real people
singing and
finally had to
agree with his
supposition -
I sure was
disappointed
and felt
deceived, to
say the least!

Yesterday
after church
we enjoyed
lunch at
Applebees with
our friends,
Larry and
Cindy Ritter.
They attend
our Adult
Bible
Fellowship
(ABF AKA
Sunday School
class) but due
to Cindy's
dealing with
pancreatic
cancer since
the fall of
last year they
have worshiped
online. So we
thoroughly
enjoyed seeing
them face to
face and
rejoiced in
the progress
Cindy has made
with tumor
shrinkage.
Doctors
consider it
remarkable in
such a short
time span and
we as
believers see
it as answered
prayer.
