(Click refresh or reload for current message) Wednesday, December 10, 2025 Message summary: By God's grace, as you wait on the Lord, may your strength be renewed and may you spiritually soar above the inevitable storms of life. Listen
to our message
on your audio
player. "But
they that wait
upon the Lord
shall renew
their
strength; they
shall mount up
with wings as
eagles; they
shall run, and
not be weary;
and they shall
walk, and not
faint" (Isaiah
40:31). Yesterday we rearranged the furniture in our home office most notably moving my desk from where it faced a wall for nearly 20 years. It now faces the outdoors through floor length windows and a glass door. One major benefit is the visibility I have outdoors as compared to the wall which served as the background to my desk! Yesterday we were working together and I spotted the bald eagles (at least three of them) soaring above the farm field across the road. For many
years I have
really liked
eagles. I have
a mantle in
our family
room with
several carved
eagles,
including a
full sized
eagle that a
reader carved
and sent to us
years ago. I
didn't see
them when I
was a child
growing up in
the Kansas
City area. At
that time they
were
endangered and
rarely seen.
But they sure
have
recovered. We
presently live
several miles
from the
Susquehanna
River where
there are
several
eagle's
nests.
So today I
thought it
would be good
to share the
most familiar
Scripture
verse on
eagles. Our
message is
especially
targeted to
those who are
weak and need
strength.
They
that wait upon
the Lord Isaiah 40
is recognized
by many to be
among the most
powerful
chapters of
Scripture and
in fact many
secularists
acknowledge
the superb
literary
beauty of this
passage.
1)
God's strength
to revive them
in the midst
of exhaustion
and weakness,
of suffering
and trial;
2) The ability to rise above their difficulties like an eagle that soars in the sky; and 3) The ability to run spiritually without tiring and to walk steadily forward without fainting at God's delays. God promises that if His people will patiently trust Him, He will provide whatever is needed to sustain them constantly." Be encouraged today! Hebrews 3:13 Stephen & Brooksyne Weber

Psalm 27:14 Here's another singable Scripture with the theme of waiting on the Lord. I (Brooksyne) memorized this verse by singing this tune many years ago and continue to do so. It is easily memorized since the main message is "Wait on the Lord" and is repeated often as is the verse. "Wait

Leeland Eagle
carving by Tom
Jenkins
This carved eagle which is now in my eagle collection on my mantle was given to us from a reader named Tom from Arizona who we wonder may now be with the Lord since we haven't heard from him in years. He shared his testimony with us in 2006:
For
thirty years I
was a drunk,
an intelligent
drunk. I
always worked
and was good
at my job, but
I drank every
day, from the
time that I
got off work
until I went
to bed. And on
weekends from
the time I got
up until I
passed
out. I
admired good
drinkers and
only hung out
with other
drinkers. I
wouldn't go
anywhere that
I couldn't
drink.
It's not as
uncommon as
you might
think. No
matter where I
went, I was
able to find
people just
like me.
It was a way
of life and I
liked it.
