One of his
more recent
books has the
challenging
title, "We
Will Not Be
Silenced:
Responding
with Courage
to Our
Culture's
Assault on
Christianity".
He urges
Christians and
churches to
boldly
confront the
evils of our
age. Being
silent for the
wrong reasons
is a great
peril.
Today
we continue to
examine a
single verse
in 1 Kings
18:21 as we
have in the
last two
messages.
Here's the
entire verse
again: "Elijah
went before
the people and
said, 'How
long will you
waver between
two opinions?
If the Lord is
God, follow
Him; but if
Baal, follow
him'. But the
people said
nothing."
"Remember
that Christ
was criticized
and crucified
by the popular
culture of His
day. Don’t
give up. Don’t
get
discouraged.
Don’t get
burned out.
And don’t be
silent.
Silence does
not spread
justice nor
truth. Never
lose your
compassion,
but never ever
abandon your
convictions!"
Let us determine that we will declare "the Lord is God" and follow Him. Be encouraged today, Hebrews 3:13 Stephen & Brooksyne Weber

Here
in Lancaster
County this
weekend we
have Faithful
Give.
This is a
cooperative
giving
opportunity
for a wide
variety of
Christian
ministries and
the result of
some
courageous
Christians
taking a stand
against
unrighteousness.
For
many years we
had a
county-wide
giving
opportunity
that included
all types of
organizations,
Christian and
non-Christian.
It also
included
several
organizations
like Planned
Parenthood,
LGBT groups,
etc. that we
would never
support. But
you were able
to choose what
you wanted to
give to. It
was a good
example of
toleration.
Then the LGBT
groups
demanded that
all groups in
the program
abandon their
beliefs on
morality so as
not to be what
they
considered
"discriminatory"
in order to
remain in the
program. (So
much for
toleration!)
And sadly the
program
organizers
caved. This
resulted in
the formation
of "Faithful
Give".

Eve's

an interesting
greenhouse
along Blue
Rock Road. I
(Brooksyne)
especially
enjoy due to
the variety of
plants as well
as the gift
shop operated
in a barn like
setting. Eva,
the owner, has
a real gift
for not only
beautiful
flowers and
plants but
also sells
home decor
items.
